A day without glasses

I feel like shit. I gave my only pair of glasses to the optician.
Reason: My power spiked by 0.5.

Actually its cool. No work at office for me today. Have been listening to Dire Straits since morning. WOW. The guy at the shop told me to hand over the glasses during the weekend so that my office work would not suffer. But then who wants to spend the weekend sitting at home waiting for the new glasses :) :). Work can wait but not the weekend. I have a quiz to attend this evening. I hope they don't put in some visual questions :) :).
And yes, I can now play "Pahla Nashaa" completely and too on the first string. Gary you listening? Played this song for over 2 hrs yesterday nite. Amazing. My fingers are still paining. Feels so so good when any damn song sounds perfect from your guitar. My only wish is to play "November Rain" and "Knocking on Heaven's Door". The day am able to do so I don't know what happen to me. Man am waiting for that moment. But still a long long time to go. Liverpool-Chelsea was fun. Pity that Liverpool lost couple of penalty appeals. They're again meeting this sunday and boy, this time it'll be some game.
Sometimes I feel I still have to do a lot of things. Things I really wish to do or possess are:
1) Go to Laddakh/Leh sometime soon.
2) Visit Kailash-Mansarovar.
3) Sit in a MIG :) :)
4) Keep playing football till the time my legs say "no more".
5) MERC.
6) Bose home theatre.
7) All the episodes of ALIAS and 24.
8) I really hope I bump into MS someday. Would be fun to see her again :).
9) See all the 3 lakes in my hometown(udaipur) overflowing( i missed it this time :( )
10) Liverpool winning EPL. Return of the glory days.

I know its a lot to ask for but thats what life is for. You get what you dream of. Someday when I achieve all of this i'll post back. God that would be the day.

When would the rains leave me?

Yes, again!!!
I have started hating rains now. I mean it's so so painful to sit in a theatre fully soaked. Its the 3rd time that I got wet while going for a movie. It was so cold and poor Mr. T shivering like anything. Btw, the movie was "The Longest Yard". Great fun. Typical Adam Sandler flick. Nelly was way too cool. And especially after watchng "The Interpreter" I desparately needed something light. Nicole Kidman is a total waste.
Time for some sports now:
F1-Its Fernando Alonso finally. I pity Kimi and Monotya. If only the cars supported them initially then the championship still would have been alive. Still the contructors championship is open. And with McLaren zooming out these days I bet its theirs.
Football-Boring weekend. I hate to see Chelsea winning. Arsenal, ManU and Liverpool were pathetic. Charlton seems to playing exciting footer these days. The big one is coming this wednesday. Chelsea-Liverpool. Champions League. I just hope that the @#$#@# cable operator airs the matches.

Was listening to some old songs this weekend. Repeated "Do dewaane shaher main" some 5-6 times. Amazing song. Great lyrics.

Rain, Tea and Dog

It rained, again. I got drenched, again. My bad this time. Reached home without getting wet but I desparately wanted to have a cup of tea. I got some tea-masala from Udaipur this time so wanted to try that too. As soon as it stopped raining I went out but Mr. Murphy struck again. Went hardly 100 mts to a shop to get milk and by the time I came back I was dripping. Gosh, wet till my bones(obviouly every piece of cloth also). Then comes the best part. We were wondering that why the hell there is power at our place even when it is raining so heavily. Seems someone over-heard our conversation and suddenly it was all black. Except for my idiotic cell phone that keeps glowing every 30 secs. So had to make tea in candle light. That was fun too 'cause we could not find candles initially so used a torch instead. Some how tea was ready. Amazing. I guess the masala and the rain did the trick. We were still enjoying the tea when suddenly from nowhere a small pup came and starting yelping at our door. The next 1 hr went taking care of it. We dried it, gave it some milk and then made a nice little shelter(my towel and a bag). Even gave it a tennis ball to play with. Though he was more interested in the milk than the ball. Amazing pup. All golden. Check out the pic. Don't know where he went in the morning. I guess he must have found his mom somewhere. Its mid-week. And am already so so bored of work. But on the brighter side, friday is not too far :). With no more movies coming this weekend I don't know what to do. Plz suggest me something.

Weekend without a movie? Naah....

Its a very very blue day. Monday, ofcourse. Piles of shit to clean up. And I just don't want to work. Its so so cool(and wet) outside. And especially after the weekend I had, am not in a condition to use my brain. Watched 4 movies on big screens(Ramji Londonwaley, James, Chocolate and Salaam Namaste) and a couple on small screen(Troy and Meet Joe Black). The 2 on the small screen cannot be blamed for my condition at all. I guess Chocolate and Salaam Namaste did the trick. I still am not able to digest 'em both. One was an ill-edited nuisance and the other a well-edited one. Thankfully T and G were with me to share the load.
Reaching Skyline on saturday was fun. It took us some 1.5 hrs to get there(after parking our bikes some 1 km from the theatre and walking all the way from there). Too much desperation for something so so meaningless.

Then sunday the show for "SN" was at 10.30 PM. Gosh it bored me till 1.30 :( :( .
The only respite during the weekend was football. Oh yes! I watched couple of matches too. ManU-Liverpool was a must watch. Good football. And I managed to catch up with Newcastle-Blackburn. What a match. After a long long time I saw a spirited Newcastle team. What do I say about Shearer? Truly great. Would be a shame to see him depart after this season.

Monday has come with its usual flavours. Work, training, a reminder to pay the phone bill and a lot to ponder about what all happened during the week. I guess this has become a routine.
Was listening to "Beautiful Girl", from INXS, this morning. Amazing music.
Stay with me......

Skyline/Sterling - Man I love these theatres !!!

Saw "Ramji Londonwaley" last night. Idiotic movie, as expected. Went out to watch "Salaam Namaste" but then the last show at the theatre near our place was cancelled. Watching a movie on thursday takes a lot of planning(dinner frm Subway, Coffee & Chocolate doughnut frm CCD) so we thought that we wont go home without watching a flick. Went to prasads initially thinking that we could get tickets in any of the late night movies. Its always a house full there. Even batman begins was house full. So went to our old reliable place - Skyline.
This place never ceases to amaze me. No matter which movie you'll always get tickets there. Only once in two years I had to take tickets in black there and what a black. Rs 35 tickets in 50. Amazzzzing. Coming back to the movie. Truly stupid. Only thing I liked was the bihari accent. Reached home at around 1.00 and watched footer as usual. Borough vs Xantha(a team i've never heard of). Its Red Devils vs The Reds this weekend. Mindboggling. Searching for a pub that would show the match live. I guess Sundowner would but then they mostly concentrate on cricket. Gosh I hate cricket except Ashes. Truly stupendous.
Its a friday morning and the weekend magic is already spilling off. I hope this weekend too is gr8 like the last one or like the last-2-last one or like every other weekend.
Hickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Pluto - Isn't the name fascinating ?

PLUTO - This name has been haunting me since my brain started remembering things. Have been hearing this name everywhere. Everywhere. Some of the questions that come to my mind on a weekly basis
1) How far is PLUTO?
2) How do I go to PLUTO?
3) Would I live longer if I go to PLUTO?
4) What is PLUTO ? How does it look?
5) Why is mickey always in limelight and poor PLUTO is confined to its den?
6) Why is it named PLUTO?
7) Are the actions done by PLUTO called PLUTONIUM?
8) If not then what the hell
9) PLATO - Some distant cousin?
Its been a long suffering but I guess time for truth has come. I know Gaurav would surely had given me some answers. Oh I miss those brainy algebric puzzles on my office desk. I hope that algebra guides me. Still neverland seems so so far...

I Am Mine

Atlast my fingers are busy working again. Came back from home 2 weeks back and thought of writing the same day but work and some other diversions kept me away from my favorite time pass, after football of course.
Last weekend was in bangalore. Amazingggggg. Met a lot of ppl. Infact not a lot but still a substantial number. Is 15 a lot ? Boozing days are back. Had something to drink after a long long time. And gosh what fun. The place is called LOR - Legends of the Rock. Cool place and quite near to lambs and tin's place. Saw Iqbal. A must watch movie.
Work's going good. Today's a holiday. Infact every wednesday must be a holiday. It rained again today. Heavily. Listened to a lot of Pearl Jam this week. Some amazing tracks and great lyrics. Especially "I am mine". Some lines are really really cool....
The north is to south what the clock is to time
There's east and there's west and there's everywhere life
I know I was born and I know that I'll die
The in between is mine
I am mine

I'll try to be regular from now. And since EPL had started again in full flow i'll be writing a lot about it.

So till then take care.
