Daal Baati - A dream in the rain

Oh yes, wet again.
I guess there is something between me and the rains. I mean Mr. RxJ(that's me) takes his bike for a long ride and he is bound to get wet. Wet ? Not wet but drenched. Its almost november for God's sake and its still pouring.
SM's Bday and we(me, SM, AJ, A"AG"G, AG,SJ,RN) made plans a week back to go a rajasthani place by the name "Dhola ri Dhani". Its serves authenticate rajasthani food with awesome "daal baati". For people who don't know what a daal baati is check out this
link. It started raining even before we reached. By the time we entered 75% wet. Had a good time in there until the dinner arrived. Ass#o!%$. No daal baati. And that idiotic person said that yesterday they had daal baati so its not on the menu today. Crestfallen. I mean I just love that dish man. Anyways am off to udaipur in another 3 days and there i'll get all what I want.
After dinner, usual gossip and after a small talk on the charpai we decided to leave. 2 mins on the road and someone opened the shower. Man, total chaos. And my glasses were the biggest obstacle. Maybe I should go for those glasses with wipers :) :). It kept on raining like that for almost an hour and by the time I reached my place even my undies were shivering. :D
In the end good fun. Driving in rains is always dangerous with those trucks/buses coming with high beams and open manholes waiting to swallow you but when you reach home safely you feel good. I felt good too. Nice dinner, nice paan, nice drive(o yeah!!!) .
Am sneezing since morning and even a D'Cold and a thick T-Shirt doesn't seem to help me. Time to ask the security fella to switch off the AC.
Achoooooooo.
God bless me.

Smoke on the water.....

Finally !!!! I can play this song(not the full song though, just the initial part)
Learnt it yesterday in the class. And man, what thrill. Still needs a lot more practice.
Its my second angrezi song after "wish you were here".

Liverpool won the match :) and I couldn't see it live :(. Too late in the night and next morning was office. I wish I retire early so that I get to see all these matches.

Yesterday went to a shop near my place to get some long pending things for home. Knife, Odonil :D :D, Candles etc etc. The place I usually go is owned by this really mad person. He is damn irritating and always shouts if you don't give him change. Yesterday though it was a bit different. We took a knife from his store and gave him a Rs 100 note. And he ended up checking the note from all the angles to see whether it was a fake one or not. Man, I wanted to bury that knife into him. Such a pain in the ass. Why are people like this ?

Anyways its a friday and weekend would start right after lunch for me. No am not leaving office early but then I can't work at all on a friday afternoon. Have no plans for this weekend. Oh yes my cousin is giving me her b'day treat. And me and AGB have to go and get some small fish bowls for the fighters. And oh oh there is the guitar class on sunday. But no movies, no pubs and no shopping :( :(.

Next week am off to udaipur. Yesterday mum said that it gets really chilly in the evenings and nights there. I guess winter has finally come. Gosh I just love cold and chilly weather. Though i'll miss that "temperature less than 4-5 degree" period but still it'll be cool enuf for me to enjoy.

Finally the divison bell has tolled at our place. I mean I had to separate Frodo and Bilbo from Mr. Gimli. He was always behind them and biting and pushing both these poor goldies. Currently the situation is under control but I feel so so bad for gimli for keeping him secluded. Maybe I need to get a female for him. A blue colored one. Or some other bright color so that if the offsprings come up they'll be multicolered :) :)

Time for a coffee and then some music and then some work.

Weekends are fun...a full week is even better!!!

What a week it was. Total fun.
In one word "Amazing"
In one line "Life never was so so interesting after IIT"

Went to Hampi first. Wow. What a place. For ppl who love travelling its a place that should be in top 10. Magnificient ruins. The place makes you want to go back in time and be at the place when all this was built and was still intact. Lovely temples. Huge temples. This place can be easily visited for a second time. And the fun would be highly amplified if you choose to travel on a bicycle. I guess 2 days are a little too less for this place. You need to spend atleast 4-5 days and see each and every corner of this ancient city.
Next came Bangalore. We wanted to go to pondichery but then it was raining like hell. So we though of staying there and visit couple of places nearby. Nandi Hills. Heaven. Its like you've come to a hill station. Great views especially sunrise and sunset. And its fucking cold out there. Got totally drenched while coming back and that was an adventure too. Next it was "Wonder La". Its boasted to be India's biggest amusement park and by joe...it is huge. Nerve recking rides and a very very cool wave maker. This place has a giant wheel on top of a tower that is 14 stories high. And the worst part is that you can see right through the cage floor. The view beneath my legs made me really sick. Its like you are flying. Literally. I surely put up the pic once I get it.
And then went to some place(Lemon Grass) and got totally sloshed. I don't remember much but ppl say I drove back all by myself. Yeah am still in single piece.
And yes, i took the bike upto 112 km/hr. No I wasn't drunk that time. Just a bit of over excitement.
2 more weeks in office and Udaipur comes next. Man am really waiting for this trip.
Wrrroooom Wrrrrooooommmm

Frodo, Bilbo and Gimli

I just can't keep LOTR out of my memory. It's one book that has redefined the world of fantasy for me. So I named my 3 little ones after characters in LOTR(btw for the ppl from other world, LOTR=Lord Of The rings). And yes these little ones are 3 fishes.
It all happened on a lazy friday evening. AGB had this idea of buying a globe and some fishes and I followed him. Well I guess I did the right thing. Went to 3 shops before we could finalize on the globe size and fishes. I got 2 gold fish and a blue colored fighter. AGB took 2 black golds and a red fighter. We even took some plants, white sand and pebbles for them. For the first time in my life I had to pay for stones. Btw here goes the name list :
1) Gold Fish 1 = Frodo
2) Gold Fish 2 = Bilbo
3) Fighter = Gimli
Their first day, rather the first night, was great. All 3 of them looked highly confused especially Gimli. It was roaming around aimlessly. Fed them some food and thats when the fun started. Though Gimli was not eating at that time it wasn't allowing Frodo and Bilbo to eat. It just used to go and hit them from behind. Gimli is still doing the same but I guess Frodo and Bilbo are begining to enjoy that.
Its a great great fun to keep some pets. I now realize. Mom never allowed me to keep a dog at home. She used to say that she is fed up of having 2 pups(me and my sis) and she cannot afford one more :) :).
Holiday time is coming. Hampi, Blore, Pondichey, Udaipur, Mumbai and Kota. Gosh am so so excited. I hope my work won't bother me much. But then what kind of work is it that does not bother you ? ? Am already showing signs of retardation that too on a wednesday.
God help the ppl sitting next to me.
Here I come !!!!
