5 things I want to do just now !!!

Just came back from "Angeethi". Man, amazing food as always !!!!
I just want to:

1) Go home and sleep for 5 straight hours( i wish not alone!!!)
2) Before going home, go to CCD have a nice Mocha.
3) In between CCD and home, rent a nice Tom Hanks movie.
4) Kick the security person at the office. Grrrrrrrrrr
5) Need to pee. I hate the AC in the office. Its always so so cold here. I am the most frequent person to the loo.

Fire shots - Never Again!!!

Well its not like I won't have them ever again but just that I won't have 8 shots in a single night.

"Retro Night" at TDS on friday. Me and El met up after some 5-6 months and drinking was bound to occur. Gosh. Within 2 hrs we had all these idiotic/good shots plus a huge amount of bacardi down. Danced for sometime and then it hit. I mean it actually hit. Man we were so so drunk that we were hardly able to move around sanely. Sat in the lifestyle building for the next 1 hr cribbing/bitching about life and society.

After a long discussion she says....
El: Rahul I don't want to get married.
R: Even I don't want to !!!! I hate responsibilites...
El: Cool, we think alike. So lets get married to each other....
R: Smart !!!!

and a 5 min burst of laughter.

Then went to a hotel to have a cup of coffee. Sat there for half and hour with giving the order. Suddenly El says
El: Why the fuck are we sitting here. I hate coffee
R: Yeah true. Me too.

Dropping her back was the biggest challenge. The road was hazy and she was singing on the top of it. The ride back home was even hazier. Totally foggy I must say. I still don't remember the events after that. Just that I woke up in the morning and had no hangover absolutely.
Wow maybe the shots were magical.
I should have more of them this weekend.

Ronaldinho - The Barcelona Magician

Long time i've written about my first love/passion. Yup thats Football. And a perfect time to write about a person whom many people regard as one of the finest players they've ever seen. I do not agree. He is THE BEST.
You would surely agree with me if you did see the Real Madrid-Barcelona "El Classico". Barca won 3-0. And what a victory. Even the faithfulls of "The Bernabau" were applauding Ronaldinho's herocis. His pace and control is just too much. I guess only Henry(Arsenal/France) can match it.
And then came yesterday's match. Though I did not see it but I was lucky to catch the highlights. Man this guy again was the Man of the Match. Simply breath-taking. Football never was so so fun. World cup too is coming next year.

They are speculating that Henry might join Barca next season. Imagine, just imagine Eto, Henry being fed by Ronaldinho. Man I just wish I was in Spain.

Just waiting for ESPN-STAR to resume the live La Liga games. Wonder why are they not airing them these days !!!

Someone please take this away from me

Well another of my idiotic purchases.
Got this lovely looking, red colored, strawberry face-wash this weekend. Man, total waste of money. 45 bucks. I could have had an Alphonso icecream from Baskin Robins.
This facewash is good for nothing. So so sticky and it makes you smell like strawberries for atleast 10 mins. Yuccckkkkss. I had flies swarming all over me the first time I used it and went out.
I need to be more cautious in buying fancy products now.
Is anyone willing to take this from me? I can give it to you in 35 bucks !!! 

Moon, Sky and Stars - Simply Magical

They say that tides occur because the mighty oceans are being pulled by moon's gravity. Absolutely true. Well it not the only thing moon pulls. It has pulled me towards it. Amazing it is.
The past 6 days have been like i'm in a wonderland. Absolutely clear skies and eqaully amazing big, bright and beautiful moon. The pic above was taken by me from just outside my guitar class.
Since I was a kid I've had this strange fascination towards the sky. Especially the night sky(no one likes to stare at the sun during the day). I still remember the days when power cuts were very frequent and we used to sleep on the terrace. Me and my dad. And he used to show me all the tiny stars, big stars, bright stars and yes the most important of then The Pole Star. He even used to show me the satellites orbitting the earth and I never used to believe that they were satellites. Next morning in the school I promptly used to tell all my friends that I saw a shooting star and that too for a very long time('cause the satellites move at incredibily slow speed).
Our city is not lit very brightly during the nights and you can see a lot of stars. Go out from the city by around 5 kms or so and u'll be in heaven. Pitch black and great views. Especially if u're near one of the many lakes around.

Even today whenever I travel via a bus/train I just stare out towards the sky. I never ceases to amaze me. And then all the memories come back. Good, bad and all kinds of. No wonder most of my fav movies have the same theme. Star Wars, Apollo 13, Armaggedon, Titan AE(it was a cartoon flick).

Was listening to the song "Socha Na Tha" today morning. Absolutely love these lines

A trip to Gurudwara

Well the pic above is of "Charminar"...Long Story...
Me, T and P went to celebrate "Guru Nanak Jayanti" in a gurudwara yesterday night. The first conversaton we had when we all met
Me: So where are we going?
T: To a gurudwara somewhere in Abids?(thats some 15 kms away)
Me: Somewhere?
T: P knows the way?
P: Not me, my friend(who was not there) knows the way and she'll guide us there.
Me: So whats the occasion? Its "Guru Nanak Jayanti" right?
P: Huh...Its "Guru GovindSingh Jayanti" today!!!
Me and T thought for a while. Since P is a punjabi she may be right. But I remembered vaguely about my parents taching me when I was a kid that "If its in the winters then its "Guru Nanak Jayanti". So...
Me: No ways. It is "Guru Nanak Jayanti"...and am sure about it..
P: Looking everywhere accept in the front(she was driving)...Ohh shittt ...I didn't know !!!
We all couldn't stop but explode. After 2 mins:
P: Now where to go?
For heavens sake it was hardly 1 km we had travelled.
After almost an hour we reached the place we wanted to go. Avg speed= 15Kms/Hr and that too at 12.00 midnight.
Then comes the best part. We sat in the gurudwara for almost 1.5 hrs listening to the prayers. Me and T do not understand punjabi at all. So all we were doing was nodding. Since P was keen on sitting through the entire ceremony me and T went out to see old city. Wow. Its so so brightly lit and clean and open and traffic free in the night. Ended up reached "charminar" and it was looking fabulous in the night with the full moon above it.
Made couple of videos of the entire trip. Dark but hilarious.

Finally everything got over and we reached home at 4 in the morning. Not after having a bread-omelette from one of those road side "thela walas". Too too good at that hour of the night.
Work did suffer next morning 'cause of this night exploit but then who cares. Work still is not the number 1 priority for me!!!

 

Hurrayyyy...My cell can play mp3s.

Woke up to "Here Comes The Sun" today morning. Amazing, considering the hazy weekend I had. Probably one of the best weekends in hyderabad till now. Wow.
Total fun. Especially saturday night. Went for go-karting. Reaching there itself was fun.
Drove my friends new Opel on friday night after drinking heavily. I think I drove pretty well and people did agree with me that night but next morning they changed their statement. They said I did not follow the lane rules and was not looking at the mirror while driving :D :D :D
Went to a dhaba after go-karting. Freezing cold.

Couple of questions are still un-answered though....

Why was there no beer on sunday afternoon ?
Friday night, saturday aftenoon, saturday night and sunday night. Beer all the time. I don't know what caused us to miss the pitcher on sunday morning. Went to CCD instead.

Why were we in the theatre till 10 mins after interval ?
Went to watch "shaadi no. 1". Torture. Everything was happening thrice. No it was not due to hangover or something but actually it was thrice.

Why didn't I know that my cell can play MP3s?
Its been more than a year I bought this moto. And only on sunday I realized that mp3s are possible on this. WOW. First song was "Wo Sikander Hi Dosto" from JJWS.

When would these days come back?
Pretty soon. Cause am off to mumbai on thursday. And the hazy days would be there again.

Well monday is back and as usual I got heaps of shit to clean up. And this week the heap is even bigger.
Its 3 in the afternoon and time for a small coffee break. Work can wait for 20 mins.

Morons !!!

People do not think before doing any work they don't know about. Atleast ask someone who has the knowledge.The reception at our office has this funda of putting a quote every day. Its supposed to be inspiring.Look at today's quote(in the pic above).
It says"I was poor growing up. If I wasn't a boy I'd have nothing to play with - D. Rodney" What a quote. Morons!!!I mean I was totally shocked to see it. And not only me. Every other person. The poor security guy has no idea about whats hanging out there.
Some time back there was a quote from Jimi Hendrix. Man too much. I don't remember the quote but AGB says that it was funny too. I guess Mr. Hendrix would have been heavily doped then and must have muttered out something and the quote became an instant hit.
I guess it won't be long before we see a quote "Ooops I did it again - Brittany Spears"

14 Mb of pics in the account v#$@#^%

I absolutely hate this. Checked my mail today morning and I had 7 mails from a friend. And each post was around 2 Mb in size. Gosh my mail client hanged like anything. Finally had to delete all the pics. Man too much. I still am irritated about it.
And since I started this lemme tell abt the things I hate....
1) Cable goes off during a football match. I just feel like torching the cable operators shop.
2) Waiting for a place to sit in a restraunt.
3) Sitting in the waiting room/lobby of airport.
4) Fighting for 2-3 bucks with the autowala. Someday i'll kill one of them :) :)
5) Cleaning up the mess I create after I cook.
6) When the attendent in the 3rd AC gives me a dirty pillow and says "sahab yahi bacha hai, lena hai to lo"
7) I hate to eat alone. I just can't. Its so so depressing.
8) Calls from banks asking me for loans etc etc. Can't we just send a virus into their system?
9) Work in office after 6.00 PM.
10) My maid switching off the fan to clean the room every morning. Can I kick her someday?

Return of the King....in Hyd :( :(

Yeah thats me. So so sad and helpless and hungry.
Came back today and this place has started to suck right from t=0. I mean I was happy to meet gary, frodo, bilbo and gimli, to see my colleagues, the hot chick in the office :) :). But then home is home. Had 7 days of non stop fun and craziness. Did all the things that were possible. From playing guitar in my garden at 12.00 midnight to eating 6 meals a day. I must have gained atleast 3-4 kgs.

Diwali was great. Lots and lots of mithai and crackers. A lot. At the end we were so tired of all the bombs and rockets that we gave them away. Visited all the lakes I don't know how many times. They are simply great. Above is one of many pics i took from my cell. Having a coffee at 10 in the night near is lake is so much fun especially when its damn cold out there.

Am back in office today. And I still haven't started working. I got heaps of shit to clear up but just can't get the headstart. Too too afraid to take up work after one hell of a vacation. Guess i'll start after lunch and till then i'll go around meet people and have sweets. Oh yes I too got sweets. My favaourite "kaju roll".
