28....

...years old now....

I remember when I was a kid, well, not a kid but maybe like 23-24, god am so old now :(. Okay okay, so when I was young I used to tell my parents that I don't want to get married before 28. The reason was that my dad was 28 when he got married. My parents used to get angry and say that Beta you have been earning for almost 4 years now so its time to settle. 

Come 2007 and this whole dialouge started in the opposite way...I was still 26 and I told my parents that I want to get married now and my parents said NO you cannot because we will find a girl for you and you cannot get married to a girl of your choice !!! 

Well, gladly, its all sorted now. I am 28 and getting married next month. Bachpan ke sapne kabhi na kabhi to sach hote hi hain. Thankfully my dad was not 30 when he got married otherwise I would have been fighting with my parents for 2 more years ...

Just one more week

....before I go back to India to get hitched....

So I've decided to celebrate my last weekend in style. Have invited 28 of my friends and colleagues to a pub in town next Friday. Most of my colleagues are heavyweights in liquor arena so the evening looks to be a long one.

Shopping has almost come to an end...and I've banned Swechchha from shopping any further....she is a major shopping freak. Ab job ki hi guarantee nahi hai after 6 months and she has shopped enough for the next 5 years !!! So no more shopping until she comes here.

My parents are funny. They always refer to Swechchha as 'Bahu'. Itna bhi hindi soaps nahi dekhte hain wo log but still...Called up dad yesterday and he told that mummy has gone to get some stuff for bahu...eeekkksssssssssssssss....

New year comes with...

...a new life., new responsibilites, new flat and a new lifestyle.

You may ask why ? Bhai, shaadi jo ho rahi hai....Yesssssssssssss

16th Feb is the day, in Udaipur, our hometown. Been busy all this while, infact for the past year and half, trying to convince my parents that she is the best thing that could ever happen to me. Finally unhone apne bacche ke dil ki baat suni(this line straight out from a hindi soap)

So yeah, its all changing finally.
