Post 30

30th has come and gone and so have my blogging days. I've still got loads of free time but somehow my urge of writing has disappeared. AM started a new blog today and this prompted me to come back to my page and stare at the ruins.

Dunno when will I write again but seems it'll be soon.

Btw, I still support Liverpool and listen to Floyd daily. Some things never change !!!!

Yeah I have surpassed this figure too. Just one away from the milestone 30.

In the last 6 years of courtship this was my first birthday with my wife and she made sure I had a good one. Since it was a weekday we invited a whole bunch of my friends to our place. Surprisingly it is the same bunch who was with me when I celebrated my 26th birthday in Hyderabad. All of them are here in London now and it is really good to see them every now and then.

By the way I've got a drinking schedule these days. This month I can drink on 12th, 16th and 26th. Since I've been a bad boy lately and have taken every opportunity to celebrate and raise a toast(or a few actually) I've been put on this schedule by none other than "you know who".

Liverpool have returned to winning ways again. Such a relief. They(We) are targeting 4th place. I'll be so glad if we get there and are in the champions league next year. On a more cynical note I wish they do not finish in top 4 so that we can sack the stupid stupid manager who has made so many mistakes this season. Next game is against Everton and that sure will be a cracker !!!

I don't know what has happened but I have been away from blogging for almost an year now. Used to love blogging and had made big promises to continue this even after all the changes that were happening to my life. But I could not. I miss this space sometimes, I have so much to write but I've been a lazy bastard.

I've read on a blog that "Why does marriage change people so much that they stop blogging" and I am a live example of the comment. I think its just the changes in you life that prevent you from doing some things and one needs some time to adjust to the new life and I am loving it.

Maybe now I am a bit settled and there is calmness in my life again after a very very hectic one year, I can get back to what I like. Initial target is to write something every week.

ps: I am still keeping my promise to support Liverpool and watching every movie that comes out :)

28....

...years old now....

I remember when I was a kid, well, not a kid but maybe like 23-24, god am so old now :(. Okay okay, so when I was young I used to tell my parents that I don't want to get married before 28. The reason was that my dad was 28 when he got married. My parents used to get angry and say that Beta you have been earning for almost 4 years now so its time to settle. 

Come 2007 and this whole dialouge started in the opposite way...I was still 26 and I told my parents that I want to get married now and my parents said NO you cannot because we will find a girl for you and you cannot get married to a girl of your choice !!! 

Well, gladly, its all sorted now. I am 28 and getting married next month. Bachpan ke sapne kabhi na kabhi to sach hote hi hain. Thankfully my dad was not 30 when he got married otherwise I would have been fighting with my parents for 2 more years ...

Just one more week

....before I go back to India to get hitched....

So I've decided to celebrate my last weekend in style. Have invited 28 of my friends and colleagues to a pub in town next Friday. Most of my colleagues are heavyweights in liquor arena so the evening looks to be a long one.

Shopping has almost come to an end...and I've banned Swechchha from shopping any further....she is a major shopping freak. Ab job ki hi guarantee nahi hai after 6 months and she has shopped enough for the next 5 years !!! So no more shopping until she comes here.

My parents are funny. They always refer to Swechchha as 'Bahu'. Itna bhi hindi soaps nahi dekhte hain wo log but still...Called up dad yesterday and he told that mummy has gone to get some stuff for bahu...eeekkksssssssssssssss....

New year comes with...

...a new life., new responsibilites, new flat and a new lifestyle.

You may ask why ? Bhai, shaadi jo ho rahi hai....Yesssssssssssss

16th Feb is the day, in Udaipur, our hometown. Been busy all this while, infact for the past year and half, trying to convince my parents that she is the best thing that could ever happen to me. Finally unhone apne bacche ke dil ki baat suni(this line straight out from a hindi soap)

So yeah, its all changing finally.
